Briarcliffe College honors Massapequa Park resident At a recent gala celebration of its 40th anniversary, Briarcliffe College honored longtime supporter and current Board of Trustees Chairman Peter T. Affatato, of Massapequa Park, for his dedication to the college since its inception. "I've always believed that excellent, career-focused colleges are extremely important to our society," said Affatato, who began his career as an attorney in 1949. A graduate of St. John's University Law School, Affatato is a past president of both Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers and the Nassau County Bar Association - which, in 1994 presented him with its prestigious Gold Medallion award.
