+The Harbor Lane Library offers programs on an ongoing basis including aerobics and toning classes, Mondays, 7:30 p.m.; Tournament Scrabble, Mondays, 11 a.m..; Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m.; strength training classes for seniors, Monday mornings, 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m; Mah Jongg, Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m.; line dancing, Fridays, 10:30 a.m. Contact the Library for details.

+The Harbor Lane Library together with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 13-12, will be presenting a Basic Boating Safety Course on various dates. There is a materials fee of $50. Sign up by calling 541-8497.

+Both locations of the Massapequa Public Library will be closed, Monday, February 19.

+Free income tax preparation will be offered from AARP for seniors on Thursdays, February 1 through April 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Avenue branch and on Fridays, February 2 through April 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a picture ID, last year's tax return, W-2 form,s, 1099 forms and all pertinent records to get your free income tax help.

+The young adult department is offering a pretzel dipping craft, Friday, February 23, 4 to 5 p.m. at the Central Avenue Building. The class is taught by Christine Rissanen. Registration is underway. +Registration is underway for a bus trip to Madame Tussaud's in Manhattan, Tuesday, April 17, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The fee is $69 per person. After the museum, the group will have lunch in Chinatown at the Peking Duck Inn.

+The Farmingdale Library offers computer classes for adults.

+The volunteers are in the Library Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon from Senior Connections. Find out what you can do to avoid a lot of health problems of the older generation.

+On Tuesday, February 20, 7 to 8 p.m. Sue Bazzicalupo will offer a program on the history of homemade ice cream. You will get to churn old-fashioned ice cream. You will be making sundaes with storebought ice cream. There is a $3 materials fee which includes the cost of the ice cream and toppings.

+Frederick J. Kramer, Esq., a member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, will conduct a presentation on the benefits of Living Trusts and the comparisons between Irrevocable and Revocable Living Trusts, Tuesday, February 20, 10 a.m. to noon. There will be an open question and answer session on how Living Trusts avoid probate delays and unnecessary legal and court fees, as well as the protection of assets for long-term care purposes. Free tickets are available.
