Kerry Krohn,a 2003 Massapequa High School graduate, was recently named to North East C o n f e r e n c e ' s (NEC) All-Tournament Women's Volleyball Team. Krohn, who played on the high school's varsity team from 9th to 12th grade, is a current Wagner College senior (Staten Island), who graduates in 2007. She averaged 1.70 "kills" per game this season.
Shown in the photo, eighth grade students await the volleyball served by one of Grace Day School's faculty members at the school's annual faculty/student volleyball game. Tickets to the game were $2 for all participants and observers. The proceeds from this and several bakesales are helping Grace students aid their adoptive family. The students and faculty have adopted a family of six children for this entire school year. One of the children is suffering from brain cancer and the entire Grace Day School community has made a year long commitment to help them in any way possible.
