Determinations
Pursuant to EDPL Section
204
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE,
that the Town Board of the
Town of Oyster Bay, by
Resolution   No.   88-07,
adopted January 23, 2007,
made findings and determinations
            supporting and au-

thorizing necessary steps to
be taken to acquire certain
property in the unincorporated
        area of Massapequa
for public use by condemnation.
The location for the proposed
          project is the property
      commonly known as
103                 Broadway,
Massapequa, New York,
also known and designated
on the Nassau County Land
and Tax Map as Section 57,
Block K, Lot 229, an area
encompassing   approximately
          13,254 square foot
parcel of property (the
"Property"). The public use,
benefit or purpose to be
served by the acquisition is
to provide much needed
parkland for local recreation
            purpose.       The
parkland area will offer a
broad diversity of uses serving
    the public.
The reasons for the selection
      of the subject location
are as follows:
(1) preservation of open
space, for passive park purposes
        and recreational uses
for residents of the Town of
Oyster Bay; (2) the removal
of an unattractive, non-conforming
            use and its replacement
        with a visually attractive
park site at a key and
highly visible location in
this Massapequa neighborhood;
        (3) introduction of a
Town park into an area of
Massapequa not currently
served by any other Town
park; and (4) extension of
the park-like area presently
existing in a strip along the
easterly side of Hicksville
Road to the north.
The general effect of the
proposed project on the environment
                and residents of
the locality will be extremely
            beneficial.
