Mary Veech: beloved Massapequa & Copiague resident

L o n g t i m e Massapequa resident and loving matriarch Mary E. Veech died January 11, 2007. She was 80 years old and had been living in Copiague for the last four years.

After raising her family in Brooklyn, she moved to Massapequa in 1976 and lived on Arlyn Drive East for 27 years. She was popular and wellliked at the Anchorage Condominium unit on Mariner's Way in Copiague, where she lived the last four years.

She was described as a loving homemaker who was devoted to her family, who loved to knit, crochet and garden according to her daughter, Carol.

Mrs. Veech leaves behind her children: Barbara, Bobby and his wife JoAnne, Mary Mazzarella and her husband Leo and Carol Rizzo and her husband Robert; her ten grandchildren; her one great grandchild; her brothers: George and Robert; as well as other loved ones and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Robert J.

She reposed at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home in Babylon Village on January 13 and 14, 2007. A Funeral Mass was held January 15, 2007 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Massapequa followed by interment in Calverton National Cemetery.
