YES celebrates “A Taste of the Town”

The Stuart Thomas Manor hosted "A Taste of the Town" featuring over 25 of the South Shore's finest culinary establishments. All proceeds for the event benefited YES Community Counseling Center, a non-profit community based organization providing services to children and families in the community.

Over 200 people came in to sample offerings from local restaurants who donated their time and talents for this fundraiser. Participating establishments included Lotus Garden, Papa John's Pizza, Il Classico, Gino's of Massapequa, Sergio's, Villa D'Anvanzo, Veranda II, Ciao Baby, Palmer's American Grille, Primavera, Big Daddy's, Bella Pastry, Stuart Thomas Manor, Campbell's Bake Shop, Suburban Eats, Culinary Academy of L.I., Inn on Main, My Little Cupcake, Carlyle on the Green, Princess Bakery, Father and Sons, Tsang Patisserie, Inc., Sal's Place, Bottles on Broadway,. Connors Catering, Genova Wines and Spirits, Sidekick's Restaurant, Anheuser-Busch, Inc., Francesco's Meat Market, Coca Cola Bottling Company,. Pindar Vineyards Winery, Laurel Lake Winery and Flower After Flower.

A "People's Taste Award," conducted by the N.Y. Guild of Chefs, went to Il Classico for their Italian delicacies and to the Culinary Academy of L.I. for their desserts. One guest leaving the event claimed, "This was the most exciting charity event I have ever been to - the food was so outstanding. I'll be back next year with lots of friends."
