United Methodist celebrates black history

Community United Methodist Church of Massapequa was honored by the presence of special guest District superintendent Reverend Allen n. Pinckney, Jr., who preached at worship services on February 5. Also in attendance and celebrating Black History Month was the choir of the Living Hope Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Massapequa who performed, led by their director, Reverend Andrew Jackson. Also present in worship was Living Hope's Pastor, Reverend Dr. Pat Rickenbacker, and her husband Deacon John Rickenbacker. A special collection as taken in support of Living Hope Fellowship Missionary Baptist as they refurbish their sanctuary.
