New Island appoints Lawrence Chariton to Board of Directors

Lawrence Chariton, appointed to the Board of Directors at New Island Hospital, is the executive manager of Lawrence Lauren Treasures, a retail jewelry store well known for its diamond and precious jewels. Chariton has 30 years experience and has distinguished himself in his field for the creative design of exotic jewelry and for his managerial, advertising, merchandising and leadership skills.

A graduate of Hofstra University achieving a bachelor's degree in accounting, he also trained in the Graduate Institute for Leadership from Abroad Study in the

field of Israeli Society & History and Hebrew.

Chariton sits on the Board of Directors at Surge Components in Deer Park and has been a member of the Massapequa School District Budget and Finance Committee since 2000.
