Ann Bambino Lodge holds essay competition
For the sixth annual Heritage and Culture Month Essay Competition The Ann Bambino Lodge #2353, Order Sons of Italy in America, presented prizes to the two winning students for their entries in the annual Picture Essay competition. This year both were from Fairfield Elementary School. Luciana Tangari, age nine, a fifth grader, won for her drawing of Italia Bellissima and Allison Smith, age 11, a sixth grader won for her drawing A History of the Italian Flag. Two prizes are presented each year, one to a child of Italian heritage and one to a child of non-Italian heritage. Principal Jason Esposito of Fairfield School was present as well as Assistant Principal Therese Steinhauer and teachers Mrs. Raskin and Mrs. Miller.
