Kiwanis Club presents books to schools

Janice Seyfried, Past Lt. Governor of the Long Island South Division of Kiwanis International and a resident of Wantagh presented Libby Pataki's latest hardcover children's book, Madison in New York, to Dotty Meyer's Renaissance Preschool located in Amherst, Massachusetts. Meyer grew up in Massapequa, is a 1973 graduate of Berner High School and is the daughter of Ann and John Meyer.

As part of Kiwanis International's Read to Children Program, The Wantagh Kiwanis Club received the books from the former First Lady and has been presenting them to local schools for teachers to read to preschoolers and kindergarten children.

Libby Pataki served as First Lady of New York State from January 1, 1995 to January 1, 2007. During her tenure, Pataki has also co-authored two cultural tourism books for children: Artfully Taught and N.Y.C. ABC. Pataki is the mother of four children: Emily, Teddy, Allison and Owen.
