Senator Hannon's “Legislative Update”

Senator Kemp Hannon, chair of the New York State Senate Health Committee, reminds all there is an opportunity weekly to watch on public access television Legislative Update, during which Senator Hannon often interviews various experts in health and explores a variety of subjects of interest to widespread viewers.

Senator Hannon said, "With a focus on topics such as property tax relief programs or healthy heart programs, 'Legislative Update' is great opportunity for me to report to my constituents and provide Long Islanders with important information in concise segments."

Some of the topics Senator Hannon has covered through the years include new legislation, insurance programs, premature births, sun protection, eye care and organ donation. Already this season, Senator Hannon's "Legislative Update" has educated the public about childhood obesity, smoking cessation and lead poisoning.
