Keeping warm inside and out in Farmingdale Teachers from Northside School in Farmingdale wanted their students to learn about empathy. The students tried to imagine what it would be like to be without hats and gloves in the cold winter weather. In an effort to connect with this thought, the children collected hats and gloves for those who are less fortunate. The teachers and a social worker distributed these hats and gloves to local organizations in need. Students are proud to say they feel warm inside knowing others are as well.
