TWIGS, coming to Farmingdale High school on March 23 and 24

Farmingdale High School is preparing for its spring play Twigs. The show will be held on Friday, March 23, and Saturday, March 24 at 8 p.m. Come down and enjoy this show starring some of Farmingdale High School's talented young actors.

Twigs, a comedy about three daughters and their mother is an affectionate celebration of a handful of very ordinary people who have managed to survive. Written by George Furth, the story features each sister confronting various issues. One sister has just lost her husband and is moving into a new apartment, one is the wife of a bigoted ex-Army sergeant who has just come home from the hospital from a nervous breakdown and one is celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband. The mother of the three women, a stubborn Irish woman, gets out of her deathbed to have a priest sanctify her common law marriage to a Dutchman. All of these women manage to survive despite their unique obstacles.

Only 200 seats will be available for each performance. Tickets will go on sale in early March. To purchase tickets contact Michelle Lindsley, theater director at Farmingdale High School. The price of tickets will be $4 for students, $5 for adults, and free of charge for senior citizens. Under the director of the HS music teacher, Michelle Lindsley this play is sure to be a hit.
