Scholars in the news +Janessa Myers of North Massapequa was named to the fall 2006 dean's list at Lasell College, Newton, Massachusetts. Myers is a senior majoring in fashion and retail merchandising. +Kathryn Kaplun, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2006 semester at the State University of New York College at Cortland where she is majoring in education. She is the daughter of Jayne Afshar and John John Kaplun. +Alison Klein, of Farmingdale, was named to the dean's list at Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, for the fall 2006 semester. +Ryan Achatz, of Massapequa, a student at Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, Massachusetts, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2006 semester. +Warren Vale Herman, of Massapequa, has been named to the dean's list and has received highest honors status for the fall 2006 semester at McDaniell College, Westminster, Maryland. +Named to the dean's list at the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania for the fall 2006 semester are Robert E.
