They're engaged!!

The families of Tara Cotty and Brett Hutchison announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a 1992 graduate of Plainedge High School and received her bachelor of fine arts degree in musical theatre from The Boston Conservatory in 1998 and a master's in music education from Hunter College. She is an elementary music teacher in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Her fiance is a 1993 graduate of Phillipsburg High School in New Jersey and a 1999 graduate of The University of South Carolina, where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is an inventory control analyst for Polo Ralph Lauren in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

An August wedding is planned. The couple will reside in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Brett's parents are Thomas and Mary Hutchison of Batesburg, South Carolina. Tara is the daughter of Lynn and the late William Hansen of Massapequa.
