Massapequa Park Village Merchants Association

Where commerce and community

work hand-in-hand

It is with great sadness that I have to report the death of Kathleen P. Meyer, owner of the State Farm Insurance Agency on Park Boulevard, Massapequa Park. Ms. Meyer was an integral part of our community and always offered her services to help others. State Farm has been a member of our Merchants Association for many, many years. We send our condolences to her family and pray that she rests in peace. Kathleen was very well respected and we will all miss her. Kathleen passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2007.

The Passover and Easter holidays are almost here and we would like to remind everyone to please try to shop locally. We need your support at this time of year; the stores depend on their sales increasing because of the holidays.

This is also the last week of our Jelly Bean Contest. The jar is located in the Town Florist Store on Park Boulevard and Suzann will be happy to help you fill out an application. Guess how many jelly beans are in the jar; the three people who come closest to the actual count win a $50 gift certificate from one of our member stores, don't miss your opportunity to win a great prize.

With best wishes for a wonderful holiday,

Carol Leff, President MPMA
