During the March meeting of the Homemakers Council, Massapequa Park Day Chapter, held in the St. David's Lutheran Church's Fellowship Hall, Janine DiVerde a volunteer with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Hike For Discovery, " asked for table space for a fundraising raffle. DiVerde received wrapped baskets of goodies from local merchants that she displayed to sell tickets for a drawing at the close of the Homemakers meeting. DiVerde was very pleased with the money raised for the "Hike For Discovery" cause. For anyone wishing to make a donation visit www.active.com/donate/hfdliny/ hfdjdiver.
