From Birch Lane to Baghdad

Fourth grade students at Birch Lane Elementary School in the Massapequa Public Schools were on a mission when they heard that Erin Meyer, a former graduate of Birch Lane, is stationed in Baghdad with other members of the United States military. The students not only collected much needed personal items and supplies, along with a host of fun goodies, but they also wrote letters to the remaining members of Meyer's troop.
