Dominick Nocerino: North Massapequan; family man

Longtime North Massapequa resident Dominick Nocerino died April 17, 2007 at Hospice Inn, Melville. He was 83 years old and had lived on North Atlanta Avenue in North Massapequa for 43 years.

Born May 14, 1923 to Ralph and Theresa (Ambrosio) in Brooklyn, he was a self-employed businessman in the food service business until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Maria Regina Catholic Church in Seaford who simply loved to spend time with his family.

Mr. Nocerino leaves behind his children: Ralph and his wife Carol of Amity Harbor and Frank and his wife Geralyn of North Massapequa; his grandchildren: Lori and her husband Michael, Dawn and her husband James, Diane, Kristin and Michael and his wife Deborah; his great grandchildren: Alexandria, Dominick, Anthony, Antonia, Adrianna and Victoria; his sisters: Jennie R. and Antoinette Morea. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Mary in 2000 and his son, Thomas.

Father Peter Pflomm, Maria Regina R.C. Church, celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on April 20, 2007 followed by interment in St. Charles Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Inc., Amityville.
