Councilman Muscarella announces 2007 Salute to Seniors to take place May 19

Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joe Muscarella announced that the Town's annual celebration of Senior Citizen Month, Salute to Seniors, will take place on Saturday, May 19. The event will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. at Alfred G. Berner Middle School in Massapequa and will feature a professional production of the musical Hello Dolly, performed by Plaza Theatrical Productions.

"Each year, the Town sponsors a theatrical pro- duction for the entertainment of our senior residents, who make so many contributions to our community," Councilman Muscarella said. "As always, this production is performed free of charge for Town of Oyster Bay seniors (60 and older). This is just one small way we can say 'thank you.'"

The Councilman noted that to say "thank you," cards will be presented to those members from all clubs who have donated their time and energy to volunteer activities within the club and/ or community. The performance of Hello Dolly will begin promptly so all seniors are urged to arrive by 11:00 a.m.

For further information, seniors may contact the Senior Citizen Services Division of the Department of Community and Youth Services, at 797-7900.
