Lunchtime Read Aloud at St. William the Abbot
St. William the Abbot students are all excited to be part of the Lunchtime Read Aloud program. the group meets on Tuesdays at noon in the library. Ten eighth graders are matched up with 10 second graders for a four-week session and a fun and educational time. The eighth grade students select a book to read to their second grade partner for 25 minutes. Every member of the graduating eighth grade class elected to participate and looked forward to Tuesdays.
the younger students enjoy the reading, as well as the friendship they developed with their "reading buddy." The second graders are presented with a certificate of participation on the fourth week signed by faculty member and head of the library Mrs. Sackman and their Lunchtime Read Aloud partner.
