Overview of Federal reserve topic of May 16 workforce board meeting Rae Rosen, senior economist and an assistant vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, will be the guest speaker at the May 16 meeting of the Oyster Bay/North Hempstead/Glen Cove Workforce Investment Board, according to Oyster Bay Town Councilman Anthony D. Macagnone. The meeting will be held at the Workforce New York Center located in Oyster Bay Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Rd., Massapequa, beginning at 9 a.m. Rosen will give an overview of the Federal Reserve and how the Fed's policies affect business, the economy and interest rates. The talk is open to the public.
