+On Thursday, May 17, 7 p.m.Stu Gershon will present a program in Digital Photography Basic Touch-up Techniques at the Harbor Lane Library.

+Linda Ipanema and the Dixie Cats, featuring Stan Edwards, will perform '50s music, Sunday, May 20, 2 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library. Admission is free.

+Louis Cella Caruso will discuss the art of Itzchak Tarkey, Wednesday, May 23, 2 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library.

On Wednesday, may 23, 7:30 p.m. the Harbor Lane Library will host Divas of Our Time, a musical performance by Naomi Zeitlin.

+The volunteers are in the library Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon from Senior Connections. Help is available to find out what you can to to avoid a lot of health problems of the older generation.

+On Thursday, May 17, 7 p.m. Pamela Parisi will present a seminar on how and where to get beautiful designer clothes for the lowest prices. Registration is underway.

+A zany monsters family craft program will be offered Saturday, May 19, 10:30 a.m. Registration is underway.

+On Saturday, May 19, 2 p.m. Long Island poets will have a poetry reading. Seating is first come, first served.

+The Plainedge Library is offering a trip to "Behind the Scenes NYC" to the New York Public Library, lunch at Vita Restaurant and The Amato Opera Theater, Tuesday, May 29, 9:45 p.m. The cost is $80. Registration is under way.

+On Sunday, May 20, 2 p.m. The Day Trippers Tribute Band will present a Tribute to the Beatles. Free tickets are now available.

+On Friday, May 18, 10 a.m. to noon, Annette Hayes, program manager of F.E.G.S. Suffolk County, a non-profit organization, will discuss the free vocational services, training, counseling and job placement that are available to displaced homemakers.
