Farmingdale school district announces new School Business Administrator

The Farmingdale School District has announced the appointment of Paul Defendini to the position of school business administrator effective January 2. Over the course of this past year, Defendini participated in an administrative internship that included time in the business office. His work there has helped to establish the foundation for success in his new position.

Defendini, a graduate of Farmingdale High School, returned to the school district in 2002 as an English language arts teacher and then a dean at Howitt Middle School. Defendini was chosen to take on the role as the new business administrator in November of 2006 and assumed the position at the beginning of 2007.

As the new school business administrator, Mr. Defendini will take on more administrative duties concerning the dayto day operations of the district, making important decisions concerning the budget as well as collaborating on financial

"I am confident that with the various positions I have held in the past, I am ready take on this new endeavor. I look forward to keeping the school's day-to-day operations functioning smoothly, as well as developing new and effective ways to improve the district and its workings."
