Free workshop for breast cancer patients June 5

Psychotherapist Lynne Fain demonstrates guided imagery and meditation in this free workshop for breast cancer patients and survivors, to be held on Tuesday, June 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Adelphi University in Garden City. Through this experience, participants can learn how the power of imagination can be directed to stimulate changes in the body to create calm and focus. Research shows that this interactive approach can help to reduce symptoms and affect the overall outcome of many therapies.

Lynne Fain, MA, LCSW, is certified in Interactive Guide Imagery. She taught meditation at Cancer Care and South Nassau Communities Hospital. She is a cancer survivor with a private practice in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
