Albany Ave. school holds first annual "Hoops for cans" Basketball game

Farmingdale's Albany Avenue students held their first annual "Hoops for Cans" basketball game. As admissions, the fans had to bring in a canned good that would be donated to Long Island Cares. The fourthgrade teachers took on the fifth-grade teachers in a basketball game. Ms. Wilimczyk coached the fourth-grade teachers to a two-point victory over the fifth-grade teachers. The event proved to be a huge success and sportsmanship was on display as the students rooted on their teachers.

Shown in the photo in the green shirts are the fifth-grade teachers and in the white shirts are the fourthgrade teachers.
