Farmingdale HS student masters math

Kevin Chiu, a ninth grade math student from Farmingdale High School, has qualified for the Nassau County All-Star Mathematics Team. In the Nassau County Interscholastic Mathematics League, Chiu scored among the top 50 individuals out of over 1,000 competitors from 60 high schools across the county. The All-Star Team will represent Nassau County at two competitions this year. The first of these competitions will be the New York

State Math League held in Manhattan in April. The second of these competitions will be the national championship, the American Regions Math League, to be held in June at Pennsylvania State University.
