Farmingdale Senior receives art scholarship

Farmingdale High School is pleased to announce that senior Melissa Berrios was presented with an Art Supervisors Association Scholarship at a special ceremony preceding the opening of the 2007 Nassau All- County Art Exhibit.

On April 28, the third annual Nassau All-County Art Exhibition was held at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, Long Island University, C.W. Post campus. The Farmingdale School District had 57 student entries in this exhibition, which featured the work of Nassau County's most talented student artists.

The exhibit, sponsored by the Art Supervisors Association, the professional organization of art supervisors and administrators in Nassau County, was free of charge and open to the public. The event showcased the artworks of Farmingdale's most talented, young visual artists. The works showcased included drawings, paintings, collages, prints and computer graphics.
