Residents invited to submit photos for Town Calendar

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto invites residents to submit photos for consideration for next year's Town calendar (2008) and other Town publications.

"This year's Town calendar features photos taken throughout the Town of Oyster Bay, depicting various locations and pastimes our residents enjoy," Supervisor Venditto stated. "For next year's calendar, we would like to include photos of people and places, whether it be taken at a Town of Oyster Bay event, park, neighborhood or other inspiring subject matter."

The Supervisor noted that the photo must be taken within the confines of the Town of Oyster Bay. Photos submitted should be in color and should be professionally developed pictures, not inkjet printouts. Residents should make sure their name, address, phone number and photo description accompany the photograph. Do not write in ink on the back of the picture.

Digital submissions are also acceptable. Photos may be e-mailed, preferably in a jpeg format, to the Town's Public Information Office at mkane@oysterbay-ny.gov.

Residents can begin sending in photos now and throughout the year.

The photographer is responsible for the correct spelling of the names of the subjects in the photos, as well as notifying subjects that their picture may appear in a Town of Oyster Bay calendar or other Town material. You may be asked to supply a waiver if your photo is selected.

Photographs may be sent to Oyster Bay Town Hall, Attention Public Information Office, Calendar Photo Submissions, 54 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay NY 11771. Entrants will be notified if their photos are selected for the calendar.

For more information about having your photos considered for the Town calendar, please call 624-6386 or e-mail mkane@oysterbay-ny.gov.
