Steven Sebor: Harley Davidson enthusiast

Class of 1978 Massapequa High School graduate and avid Harley Davidson buff, Steven J. Sebor died May 27, 2007 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was 47 years old.

Born March 10, 1960 in New York City, he grew up and lived on Anchor Drive in Massapequa before relocating to Sarasota, Florida in 1980. For 22 years he operated heavy equipment for the Sarasota County Departments of Road & Bridge, Highway Maintenance, Solid Waste, Forestry and Drainage Operations.

According to his family, he loved to restore antique cars and homes. He was also a longtime supporter of the Defenders of Wildlife & Environmental Defense.

Mr. Sebor leaves behind his life partner of 22 years, Jodi L. John; his mother, Christine Sebor; his siblings: Jack of Englewood, Florida and Christine Bott of Seaford; and three nephews and three nieces.

A private cremation ceremony was held by the family.
