Lions Club vows to stamp out child blindness

Campaign Sight First II gets underway at Marjorie Post Park. One child every minute goes blind, this could, if unchecked, double the amount of blind people in the world by 2020.

Lions International has pledged 150 million dollars to stamp out child blindness worldwide. Massapequa Park Lions Club hosted this walk for Sight for District 20 K 2 of Lions International.

Shown at the walk kickoff are Lion Elliott Krakauer, Zachary Pravato, Past Lions President Christine Wiss, Club President and Event Chairperson Jennifer Pravato, Grand Marshall Town Clerk Steve Labriola, Town Councilman Anthony Macagnone and Lions district 20 K 2 Governor Andy Umreiko.
