•A Notary Public is available by appointment only at both locations of the Massapequa Public Library.

•Senior Connections Information and Referral Service will be at the Central Avenue Library, Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon and at the Bar Harbor Library, Monday and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon. For information, call 798-4607, extension 322.

•The Nassau County Health Care Corporation Mammography van will be outside the Harbor Lane library, Thursday, July 19, 8:30 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. No cost mammography screening will be available to all residents. You must make an appointment by calling the office of Senator Charles Fuschillo, Jr., at 546-4100.

•Senator Charles Fuschillo will be at the Harbor Lane Library, Thursday, July 19, 2 to 4 p.m. Stop by to introduce yourself and say hello. The Senator will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

•The volunteers are in the Library Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon from Senior Connections. Help is available to find out what you can to to avoid a lot of health problems of the older generation.

•Thursday Delights will be held Thursday, July 19 for all ages and a parent. Every week is a different activity. Seating is first come, first served.

•The movie Because I Said So will be shown, Thursday, July 19, 7:30 p.m. and Friday, July 20, 1:30 p.m. Door open one half hour in advance.

•A program in pain management will be offered Thursday, July 19, 7 p.m. by registered nurse Irene Karp and psychiatrist Michael Gurevich who will explore various alternative methods used to diminish pain. Learn to increase a sense of comfort with the mind, body and spirit. Registration is underway.

•A Harry Potter party for grade three and up will be held Thursday, July 19, 2 p.m. Registration is underway.

•On Thursday, July 19, 3 p.m. a program entitled How It All Began will be held. Snacks will be supplied which the groups watches Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Seating is first come, first served. The program is for all ages and a parent.

•Socialization at My Fun Place for all ages with special needs will be held Monday, July 23. Check the Library for the time.

•The movie Seven Year Itch will be shown Monday, July 23, 2 p.m.

•A Scrabble workshop will be held Tuesday, July 24, 1 p.m. by Ginger White. Learn the history of the game and some tricks and strategies for playing. If you own a deluxe Scrabble game, bring it with you.

•A discussion of the book Suite Francaise will be held Tuesday, July 24, 1:30 p.m.l with discussion leader Fran Cohen. See Jose Diaz at the reference desk to sign up and receive a copy of the book.

•On Tuesday, July 24, 7 to 8:30 p.m. young adults in grade six and up can take part in a Polish Your Look Manicure Workshop. Manicure your nails like a professional. Learn proper nail care with licensed nail technician Mrs. Kathy. The is a $5 fee for the cost of the nail kit. Registration is underway.

•Registration is now underway for the Little Patron's Enrichment Program for three and four year olds. The program is run by certified teacher Linda Martella and covers: alleviation of separation anxiety, kindergarten readiness, pre-writing skills, interactive play, storytime and craft. The cost is $750 for three days for four years olds and $550 for two days for three year olds. The program runs September to May. For information, call Pat at 735- 4133.

•The Amityville Public Library invites you to be a part of its history by purchasing a brick to be placed in the Centennial Anniversary Garden walkway. Bricks can celebrate a happy event, commemorate an achievement, memorialize a loved one, or honor an organization. The Garden is a living landmark celebrating 100 years of service to the community. Order forms are available at the Library. The cost of each engraved brick is $75 and allows for up to three lines of 14 characters each. Order form, with payment, must be submitted by July 31.
