Tony LoBianco awarded Italian American Legislators Award

Assemblyman Joseph Saladino (Massapequa) presented actor Tony Lo Bianco with the Italian-American Legislators Award for his lifetime achievement of promoting and protecting Italian-American causes and as a long-time advocate for breast cancer, poulies anemia and lupus.

"What an honor it is to have a famous actor, and my good friend, Tony Lo Bianco join with my fellow Italian- American legislators for this important award ceremony," said Saladino. "Tony has taught Italian-Americans about great pride and family values. He started in Brooklyn growing up in a family of modest means and rose to stardom with hard work."

Lo Bianco provided the conference with a rousing speech, educating the attendees about improving the image of Italian-Americans in the media and informing New Yorkers on presenting positive images of Italian Americans in film.
