Final week of Music Under the Stars series to begin August 6 Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto announced that week six, the final week, of the 2007 Music Under the Stars concert series will kick off on Monday, August 6, with a performance by B.J. Thomas. He will perform at Theodore Roosevelt Beach, Larabee Avenue, Oyster Bay, beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, will showcase The All Star Diva Night starting at 8 p.m. at John J. Burns Town Park, Merrick Road, Massapequa. On Wednesday, August 8, Petula Clark will perform at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park, Jericho Turnpike, beginning at 8 p.m. She is on limited engagement direct from England. Thursday, August 9, welcomes 2U, "The World's 2nd Best U2 Show" and Evolution "The Journey Tribute Show," to the Hicksville High School Field, Newbridge Road, beginning at 8 p.m. On Friday, August 10, Dean Karahalis and the Concert Pops of Long Island will be performing at H.B. Mattlin Middle School, Washington Avenue, in Plainview, beginning at 7 p.m. This is the final night of the Music Under The Stars program.
The 2007 Music Under the Stars summer concert series takes place over 32 nights throughout July and August at various locations throughout the Town of Oyster Bay. Shows are free to Town residents and begin at 8 p.m. on most evenings. It is suggested that residents bring a lawn chair or blanket to outdoor performances.
