The return of Out and About Shabbat to be held

Congregation Beth-El will resume its Out & About Shabbat services Friday, August 3, 7 p.m. The services are held outdoors, in a relaxed, friendly environment. Worshippers are moved by the sunset and nature as they contemplate the beginning of the Sabbath. Out & About Shabbat will be held August 3 and 10, 7 p.m.; August 17 and 24, 6:45 p.m. and August 31, 6:30 p.m.

A kickoff barbecue will precede the August 3 service at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $7 per person with a family of four at $25. The August 10 service will be follows by "Do You Know More Than an Alef Student?". The August 17 service will be preceded by "Shabbat on the Rocks" at 5:45. The cost is $6 per adult, with children free. The August 24 service will be followed by "Shabbat Clue: Who Killed Chayim Schlepper?". The August 31 service will conclude with a Hawaiian luau dinner at $12 per adult and $8 per child. All are welcome to attend.

Congregation Beth-El is a Conservative congregation affiliated with the United synagogue of Conservative Judaism. It is located at 99 Jerusalem Ave., Massapequa.
