The Plainedge Association of Girls Scouts held its annual Fly-Up Bridging Ceremony to honor the girls who have achieved the gold award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt, the minority leader of the Legislature, was on hand to present special Legislative Recognition to the Gold Award recipients.
Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, shown left, presents an official Town of Hempstead Citation to Village of Massapequa Park Mayor James Altadonna, incoming president of the Nassau County Village Officials Association, on the occasion of the 82nd Annual Dinner Gala and Testimonial of the Association held at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
