Arlene Montgomery of MPK, loving mother and grandmother Massapequa Park resident Arlene Montgomery (nee Alger) died July 27, 2007. She was 94 and had just moved to the area in September 2006 after being a longtime resident of both Inwood and Cedarhurst. A homemaker, she was described as a loving homebody by her daughter, Jill with whom she lived. "She just loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and baked them whatever cookies or pies they wanted," she said. According to her daughter, she served on the board of elections and was a doctor's secretary for a short time. She leaves behind her children: Jill Jackson and Bruce; her nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Ellis W. She reposed at the Meserole Funeral Home, Inwood, on July 29, 2007. AFuneral Service was said July 30, 2007, followed by interment in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead.
