Historical society to display old tools and implements

The Farmingdale- Bethpage Historical Society's Tools of the Trade exhibit is at the Farmingdale Public Library, 116 Merritts Rd. Tools and implements on display range from dies used at Liberty aircraft during World War II to a an 100-year-old camera, to candy molds used by Kord and Hanni Fick to make chocolate. Additional exhibits include fire bellows from Norway, a lady's foot warming box, a three-legged milking stool from the late 1880s, cooper tools used at Stern's Pickle works, sewing implements from the 1920s to 1930s, English Ironstone Ware and early settler's wooden cookery.

The exhibit will be on display in the second floor display area through September.
