Blood drive September 26

New Island Hospital is holding a blood drive on Wednesday, September 26, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Long Island is in critical need of blood. Blood supplies are at an all time low. All members of the community are asked to please donate. New and sterile equipment is used on every person donating blood and is disposed of afterwards.

If you have been turned away in the past please try to donate again. If in doubt about your ability to donate, call Long Island Blood Services at 516- 478-5000 and they will answer all of your questions.

Blood donated is used to treat victims, cancer patients, surgical cases and people with various other disorders. Volunteer donors are the only source of this precious gift of life
