Forum on Current Affairs to host Do we need a National Health Program?

The Great South Bay Forum on Current Affairs is presenting a program entitled Do We need a National Health Program? with speakers who are activists of the Long Island Coalition for a National Health Plan, President Mary Dewar, Secretary Esther Confino and Moderator Pat Vecchione, the editor of the Coalitions newsletter. The program will be held Wednesday, September 26, 7:30 p.m. at the Massapequa Public Library, 40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park in the lower level auditorium.

The forum will explore if the U.S. is really behind in healthcare and the panel will present realistic alternatives. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Co-sponsors are L.I. Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives, L.I. Progressive Coalition, L.I. Pax Christi, Peacesmiths, Veterans for Peace and L.I. School of the America's Watch.
