MPK Homemakers to meet

Massapequa Park Day Chapter of Homemakers Council will hold its regularly monthly meeting, Thursday, October 4, 9:30 a.m. at St. David's Lutheran Church, Clark Boulevard and Lakeshore Drive, Massapequa Park.

At 11 a.m. Ken Leib will speak on the Slocum Steamboat tragedy. On June 15, 2004 the excursion boat sank in New York harbor and over 1,200 people perished, primarily women and children.
