Adopt a shelter dog open house at Bideawee on October 13th and 14th

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and Bideawee is hosting an open house weekend, Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14. Visit the Bideawee Adoption Center, 3300 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and learn about the many advantages of adopting a shelter dog. Qualified "matchmakers" will be available to help you find your perfect four-legged canine. A Bideawee veterinarian and certified trainer will answer your medical and behavioral questions. Hear testimonials from Bideawee foster parents and adopters.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, have received age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped and have been tested for heartworm. The Purina Pets for People Program helps subsidize adoption fees for seniors 60 years and older who adopt adult or special needs canines.

Bideawee, a anon-profit humane animal organization, has provided shelter and care to homeless animals since 1903. There will be a free goody bag for each family on October 13 and 14 while supplies last.

For more information, visit the new website www.bideawee.org or call 785-4199, extension 0.
