Town's STOP day set for October 13th

The seventh of eight Household Hazardous Waste Disposal programs (S.T.O.P.-Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) and Electronic Waste Collection days for Oyster Bay Town residents only is scheduled for Saturday, October 13, according to Town Councilman Angelo A. Delligatti.

The collection day will be held at Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Rd., Massapequa, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.," Councilman Delligatti said. "Residents who would like further information can call 677-5943.

The Town has an informative brochure about the S.T.O.P. and Electronic Waste Collection programs, including a list of what can be disposed of through both programs and the schedule of collection days and locations for 2007. Any resident or organization interested in obtaining a free brochure should write the Town of Oyster Bay Public Information Office, Oyster Bay Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay, N.Y. 11771 or call 624-6380.

The Councilman noted that final S.T.O.P./Electronic Waste Collection date for 2007 is Sunday, November 18, at the Town of Oyster Bay Department of Public Works Garage, 150 Miller Pl., Syosset.
