•The Harbor Lane Library will host a seminar presented by ARS Financial Services on What to do When You Lose Your Job on Wednesday, October 24, 7 p.m.

•On Wednesday, October 24, 7:30 p.m. financial advisor Tom Raad and holistic nurse Elizabeth Primiano will offer a program in Making Sense of Retirement and Taking Care of Your Other Assets: Your Health as part of a series of financial wealth and wellbeing seminars.

•Registration is underway for a bus trip to the Al Hirschfeld Theater to see the Broadway show, Curtains, Wednesday, November 7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The fee is $157 per person. Lunch will take place at Vita's on 46th Street.

•On Thursday, October 18, 7:30 p.m. certified beauty and image consultant Rebecca Kopcienski is holding a makeup class for people on the go. Learn to apply foundation, blush, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick in under 10 minutes. Registration is underway.

•Registration is underway for senior aerobic dancercise with instructor Mary Ellen Zaharia, Thursday mornings, through January 10, 2008, 10 to 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to noon. This low impact program is designed for the needs and abilities of seniors 55 and over. It includes movements for increased flexibility and cardiovascular improvement done to a medley of appealing music.

•Zaharia will also offer aerobic dancercise, Thursdays, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., through January 10, 2008. Registration is underway.

•There is still room to join in yoga classes given by Registered Yoga Teacher Edith Jason, Monday mornings, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. through November 12. Dress comfortably and bring a tapas sticky mat, exercise mat or thick blanket and a small throw pillow. The fee of $64 for eight session will be prorated.

•A program to make Halloween hangers for all ages with a parent, will be held Friday, October 19, 10 a.m.

•On Tuesday, October 23, 1 p.m. Stanley Newman will teach the basic rules for solving Sodoku puzzles. Registration is underway.

•The movie The Hoax will be shown Thursday, October 25, 7:30 p.m. and Friday, October 26, 1:30 p.m. Doors open one half hours in advance.
