MPK Post Office online specialists to be available Nov.1 at office

Online experts will be in the lobby of the Massapequa Park Post Office, 4910 Merrick Rd., Thursday, November 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. demonstrating the Postal Service's time saving usps.com Web site. The local demonstrations are part of the Postal Service's nationwide outreach effort to educate customers that they can go to usps.com and skip a trip to the PostOffice.

Massapequa Park Postmaster Rae Culotta advises that finding information, conducting transactions, and using postal services of all kinds is as easy as a click of a computer mouse. She explains that customers can create shipping labels and pay for postage, find a ZIP Code, calculate postage, locate a Post Office, schedule a pickup, shop and track packages, hold mail, change their address, buy stamps, design and mail greeting cards, order shipping supplies and more, all from their own computers.

"Just about anything you can do at a Post Office, you can do at our Web site, www.usps.com," emphasizes the Postmaster.

"It's all about access - making it quicker, easier and more convenient than ever for customers to take care of their mailing and shipping needs," explains Culotta. "Of course, we'll be more than happy to welcome our customers when they visit the Post Office."
