Anthony Fuina recognized for outstanding service

In recognition of outstanding service to the L.I. community, Anthony Fuina, founder of the Padre Pio Miracle Children's Foundation, which gives financial and emotional support to families whose children are suffering from cancer was recognized for acts of patriotism and charity, by the Knights of Columbus Padre Pio Assembly. Fuina's organization was awarded $400 for its exemplary efforts. All gifts will be used to continue to support these non profit activities.

This is the second year Padre Pio Assembly has been able to award a total of $2000, to such organizations. In addition to these annual awards, $800 has been given to local food bank charities, administered by the local Knights of Columbus Councils of Holy Innocence, Levittown, Maria Regina, Massapequa, Father Reilly, Merrick, and Memorare, Seaford.
