Massapequa Elks hold successful car wash fundraiser
The Massapequa Elks held a car wash on June 17 at the Elks Lodge which benefited Cerebral Palsy. All money raised went to the Elks major project, to acquire another transport van. The New York State Elks have eight transport vans in the state that are used for the impaired. They are completely owned by the Elks and the Elks pay the salary of the drivers. The vans are used not only for Elks members and their families, but also for the community.
Shown in the photo is one of the youngest members of the Elks and co chairman of Major Projects, Shalanda Cuzco with two friends of the Elks, John Arena and 12-year-old Charles Munsey.
