Liberty Rezoning hearing scheduled for November 13

The Oyster Bay Town Board will consider rezoning a portion of the former Liberty Industrial Finishing site in Farmingdale at a public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, November 13, according to Town Supervisor John Venditto.

"The Town acquired approximately 15 acres of the former Liberty Industrial Finishing site to expand Ellsworth W. Allen Town Park," Supervisor Venditto stated. "On the recommendation of the Town Attorney's Office, the Town Board will consider rezoning that parcel from 'LI' Light Industrial to 'REC' Recreational District, which would be in keeping with its intended use for park and recreational purposes."

The meeting will be held in the hearing room of Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay. Beginning at 10 a.m., the regular Town calendar, including the above-mentioned hearing, will be called. Following the regular Town business, the Town Board will be available to listen to public comment on any matter.
