Massapequa Park Village Merchants Association Halloween is here and we are all very excited. However, there is just one thing that we want to tell all the parents or relatives of an older child. Please instruct them not to put shaving cream all over the trees, streets and on the storefront windows. In some years the damage has been incredible. We know you teach them to respect other people's property, but please remind them again. We appreciate your help with this serious problem. I am happy to report that the Board of Directors of the Massapequa Park Merchants Association has voted to donate a large sum of money to the Massapequa Historical Society to be used for the repair, protection and/or replacement of the old church windows. We know this money will help them with their expenses in maintaining and preserving this very valuable property. At this time of year, with the Thanksgiving holiday not too far off, we want to let you know that a large donation box has been placed in the Edward Jones office on Park Boulevard (near the Post Office) in order for the community to donate non-perishable food items for the needy. Please contact Thomas Raad if you have any questions about items to be collected. He can be reached at 797-0243. With best wishes for a safe Halloween, Carol Leff, President, MPMA
