Bar Harbor Library presents Christopher Morrongiello Nov. 18

Virtuoso solo lutenist Christopher Morrongiello will relate the lute's history of playing techniques, Sunday, November 18, 2 p.m. at the Massapequaa Public Library, 40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park.

Dr. Morrongiello is a graduate of the Mannes College of Music and Oxford University, where he earned his doctorate degree in music. He is a recipient of the prestigious British Marshall Scholarship and has been actively promoting the lute and its repertoire in concerts, recording and academic jour- nals for more than 20 years. He has performed for the Queen of England, and was a prize winner in the BBC Radio young musician of the year competition.

This program is presented in cooperation with the Town of Oyster Bay, Department of Community and Youth Services, Cultural and Performing Arts Division, Distinguished Artists Concert Series 2007/2008.
